Banff with the (other) Gales

We stayed at the Douglas Fir Resort, which came with wildlife outside our patio.

There was an indoor water park that the kids enjoyed also, as well as some adults.

And an indoor playground.

A picnic in the park. We also managed a delicious dinner out the night before, with well behaved children.

Peek a boo.

And we ended it with ice cream.

Cameron was asleep before we left town,

Jadyn before we got to Canmore.

Soccer

The call of the park was to much for Cameron.

More Dance!

Fighting

Happy.

Slap!!

An Afternoon with Cameron

I guess at this point it is my fault for not checking on Cameron. You would think after almost 2 years with this boy I would learn that the 30 seconds it takes to check on him saves me the 45 minute clean up. We noticed that he is going thru his toothpaste rather fast, turns out he is eating it out of the tube.

Later he decided to decorate the toilet/floor/sink with my hair straightening oil. Oil is not easy to clean up.

Then there is Jadyn. Our popcorn seeds were 2 years past there expiry date so I was going to toss them. I thought instead maybe she would enjoy an art project with them instead. So for an hour she sat and glued popcorn cornels to a piece of paper.

New Camera!!!

We finally bought a new camera, so no more green/pink pictures. YEY!!

THANK YOU to all of you that contributed to the fund with Future Shop GC and Keith's b-day money. And thank you Uncle Danny for the bag.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

The Build a Bears are a huge hit.

Easter

Cameron enjoyed the eating more than the searching.

Please mind the messy hair and mismatched jammies.
Even though Jadyn was sick on Saturday, Sunday night and Monday we still managed a fun Easter hunt and a good visit with family. After two sleepless nights with Grandma and a visit to the Dr. she is feeling much better.
I decided to paint the basement since I was kid free on Monday. Next time I will go to the spa. : ) The basement ceiling is 2/3 done and 3 cans of paint wait for me.

Mall Trip

A trip to the mall these days goes like this:
30 minutes in Indigo playing with the Thomas Train
30 minutes at the Playplace
45 minutes for lunch
2.5 minutes at Bath and Body Works
5 minutes on Rides
1.5 minutes in Quicksilver
25 minutes in Toys r Us
And the conversasion with Jadyn goes as follows:
"Mommy took you to play with Thomas, play at the Playplace, play on the rides and to Toys r Us, is it to much to ask to let Mommy look around in a couple of stores?"
"Yes Mommy it is to much to ask."
I knew there were sacrifices involved in being a parent, but I really miss shopping. Not even the buying, I just miss looking around. Maybe in a couple of years??
